Holiday Update 2024
The Holidays are upon us, and it's a time for reflection. I thought I would post a short update on where I'm at, what's going on, and where I'm going in the future.
The New Year is going to bring some major shifts in my personal life, one way or another. Without going into too much detail, January/February is going to be very telling about how the next few years of my life will progress. Decisions are going to be made, and it will either be a great or a terrible time for me in my life moving forward.
I'm still struggling at becoming a writer. This year has seen my first book self-publish, but with that have come many mistakes and pitfalls, and I'm nowhere close to where I want to be in terms of my writing career. But I'm still moving forward with determination, to progress and get better, and to tell the stories that I want to tell. The Po Ding Universe will continue, and hopefully, a few other things will develop as well.
My love and passion for Battletech has not diminished, in spite of my being cast from the Garden of Eden. I continue to paint models, follow the lore, craft characters, and have fun playing the game. The game is, I believe, still in a great place, and it's a wonderful time to be a BattleTech fan. Who knows what direction the new year will have for the Battletech Universe, but the Year of Terra looks to be a fun and exciting one.
I still maintain the hope of repairing burned bridges with people at CGL. It may be a pipe dream, but the dream is still there. I believe in people, and at the end of the day, I think the people at Catalyst are ultimately good ones, and I look forward to maybe one day reclaiming that position of acceptance and comfort that I achieved for so brief a period.
There are lots of good people along the road to help me. Some of them you may suspect, and some of them you may not. I've made friends in strange places this past year, and I've grown as a person because of it. I can only hope that the new year brings more such fruitful connections.
As I've said, there are going to be some turning points early in the year that will determine what course the next few years of my life take. For now, I'm going to try to enjoy the holidays with friends and family, and hope that you all do too. Here's to the New Year!
Sounds like you are living the life you deserve. Something to think about.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by that?
DeleteKarma: you used your energy and intention to push someone out of the franchise they loved, and now the same has happened to you. You get back what you put out. Evil cannot create, only corrupt.
DeleteYou still have this false narrative that somehow I got rid of Blaine. I didn't do anything. Blaine fired himself with his actions, turning into an insurrectionist Confederate weirdo. I never went to anyone to try to get Blaine fired. Period. I just wanted him to stop putting Confederate messages into Battletech, that's all.
DeleteWhatever makes you feel better about yourself. Karma doesn't care, the universe knows your intentions and reflects back what you put out. You are living the life you deserve, simple as that.
DeleteDemonstrate that this "Karma" you speak of exists, and is not mere coincidence. It's a pretty narrative for a hater like you, but it's just not true.
DeleteGladly, I had a person like you come into my cults3d page to leave negative posts about a model I made. He didn't like it because it didn't agree with his personal narrative on the world. He then began to post dozens of hate filled comments daily on my page there. It got so bad that the cults3d admins had to come in and shut off the comments. He was desperate to try and shut me down because he didn't like my personal positions on things. What ended up happening is my cults3d page blew up with new followers 10 fold, my email was flooded with likes and sales. See I never tried to shut this person down because they disagreed with me, nor did I try to silence them because I don't agree with them. I just lived my life, made my models, shared my art and wished everyone success in whatever way makes them happy. I was gifted more sales, more followers and more exposure.
DeleteKARMA is the universal law of getting back what you give out. You are living yours now. Its up to you to either change or keep being who you are. Doesn't matter to me, I just live my life, I don't live yours. Do what you like but you are universally hated by so many now. If that was your goal you achieved it.
Ok, so in what ways should I "change" in order to get "better Karma"?
DeleteAlso, BLP is doing better now than he ever did while writing for BattleTech, so your efforts just made him even more popular and successful. I've been into BattleTech since 1984, I have read every single novel and if you had put a gun to my head, I couldn't have told you BLP's personal political views based on his writings. Whatever demented narrative you thought you saw in his writings was your distorted view, not reality. You put all of your energy into ruining the man's livelihood and reputation. So now your reputation is in ruins, you have lost your place in the BattleTech universe, and you are reviled. Everything you wished on BLP has been heaped upon you, that is KARMA in action.
DeletePretty much the opposite of everything you have been doing.
DeleteAgain, you have this twisted narrative that it's about Blaine. I don't give two shits about Blaine now that his hatred and venom is out of my fandom. You're the one with the Blaine fetish here. You might want to have that looked into.
DeleteNo no, stop spouting generalities. What specifically is it that you want me to do?
DeleteThats the cool thing, I don't hate you, I don't even hate my ex-wife or the people who actually did horrible things to me. You asked, I told you the truth. If you really want real actionable advice, I will tell you to read the Healing Codes which was instrumental in my life to help me let go of my anger and hatred I carried for years. What you choose to do is up to you.

"in what ways should I change in order to get better Karma?"
ReplyDeleteI'd say invent a time machine, go back a few years, convicne your past self to reject the 2020 mind virus that brainwashed you into fucking your life up
Thank you for that constructive advice
