Fresh from her rebuking by her commanding officer for leniency towards House Po, Sho-sa Jade Takahashi and her Third Battalion of the Thirteenth Sword of Light are given a dubious new assignment. There have been rumblings in the system of Outer Volta that remnants of Clan Nova Cat are biding their time until they can regain their strength and strike out at the Dragon. Little more than a pirate hunting assignment, Tai-sa Okamoto Goro can barely contain his disdain for Sho-sa Takahashi in his handing off the problem to her.
Ever a dutiful daughter of the Dragon, Jade throws herself into this assignment in order to clear her mind from her recent interpersonal squabbles with the Tai-sa and her thoughts of Po Ding. This campaign will begin with a recon assignment designed to flush out the Nova Cat holdouts so that the main body of the Third Battalion can engage and destroy them once and for all, ensuring death for the Dragon's enemies.
